1. 2026 SPRING K-Royal Culture Festival

○ Period : 9 days, April 25th, 2026 (SAT) – May 3th (SUN)

○ Locations : Five Major Palaces of Seoul (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Gyeonghuigung Palace), Jongmyo Shrine, and online

○ Host and Organizer: The Royal Palaces and Tombs Center of the Cultural Heritage Administration, and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation.

 

2. Eligibility

○ At least 18 years old, Korean citizen (and foreigners who can communicate in Korean)

※ Must be responsible for their own accommodation during the period

○ Must participate in major events, such as the opening ceremony, and must be able to actively participate during the festival period

○ (Preferred) Have foreign language communication skills (English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, etc.)

 

3. Recruitment Schedule

○ Number of Recruitment : About 70 persons

※ including 15 non-Koreans quota

• Provide support for the festival programs' on-site operations

• Plan and lead small group programs with visitors - Develop palace activities, and use skills and abilities to plan creative activities (team programs will be planned according to the activities)

○ Recruitment Schedule

- Recruitment announcement and application submission : Feb 25 (WED) Mar 12 (THU) 23:00 KST

- Announce results of application screening : Mar 18 (WED) 17:00 KST

- Video interview submission(online interview) : Mar 19 (THU) ~ Mar 22 (SUN) 23:00 KST

- Announce final results : Mar 27 (FRI) 17:00 KST

- Opening ceremony (required) : Apr 6 (MON) 16:00-20:00 KST

- Plan team activities : Apr 7 (TUE) ~ Apr 23 (THU)

- Video Interview (Round 2): Online video evaluation

*applicants that have passed Round 1 will be contacted individually for further instructions

 

5. Volunteer's Benefits

○ Approved volunteer hours(hours depend on each person's on-site participation)

*Must join 1365 Volunteer Portal(https://www.1365.go.kr)

○ Volunteer certification issued (must meet certification requirement; certification issued by President of Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation)

○ Activity supply kits for K-Royal Culture Festival volunteers

○ Free admission to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, and Changdeokgung Palace during the festival period (admission is non-transferable)

○ Limited transportation expenses and meals are provided during on-site (offline) activity period

○ Eligible to be selected and awarded Excellent Volunteer

○ Official volunteer documents can be issued for college students participating during the week
