The K-Royal Culture Festival Spring 2025 presents a brand-new program, <Welcome, You in Hanbok>, designed for couples visiting the palaces.

Dress in traditional hanbok and become lovers from the Joseon Dynasty,

strolling together through the beautiful scenery of Changgyeonggung Palace and the Secret Garden of Changdeokgung Palace.


Enjoy royal tea and try writing romantic letters to each other in a peaceful palace setting!

<Welcome, You in Hanbok> offers a perfect blend of Korean tradition and romance.


It’s a chance to reaffirm your love in a palace filled with history—

a special time-travel experience awaits you.

Reservation Guidelines

[Ticket Reservation]

  • Tickets for Korean nationals must be reserved in advance through the official ticketing site, Ticketlink. Tickets will not be sold through any other channels.

  • Only credit card payments are accepted to prevent scalping or fraudulent activity.

  • Tickets are non-transferable and entry is limited to the person who booked.

  • Physical tickets will not be issued.

  • Tickets obtained through unauthorized methods (e.g., macro tools, early access URL sharing) or for illegal resale purposes may be canceled without prior notice and denied entry.

  • Unauthorized resale (i.e., premium ticket sales, ticket fraud) has led to harm for genuine ticket holders. In such cases, the organizers and ticketing platform assume no responsibility. Please make sure to book only through the official ticketing site.

  • During the event, attendees' images may be captured or exposed through recording and filming. Please be aware of this when purchasing tickets.


[Cancellation & Refund Policy]

  • Ticket cancellations and refunds are subject to Ticketlink’s cancellation policy.

  • Cancellations made before the cancellation deadline (17:00 of the day before the event) are eligible for a full refund with no cancellation fee. 

  • After 17:00 the day before the event, no cancellations or changes will be accepted.

In the Joseon Dynasty, lovers exchanged letters and poems to express their feelings. So did the king and queen.

In the quiet atmosphere of the palace, write a heartfelt letter to your loved one.

Check-In Information

Check-In Location General Information Desk for the K-Royal Culture Festival, in front of Honghwamun Gate at Changgyeonggung Palace (Ticket confirmation desk for <Welcome, You in Hanbok>)

Check-In Time Check-in opens 30 minutes before each session.

*Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for a smooth check-in process.

*For smooth operation, late arrivals (more than 10 minutes after the session begins) will not be admitted, and no refunds will be given.

*Admission to Changgyeonggung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and the Secret Garden is included. The two palaces are connected via Hamyangmun Gate.

*Please provide your height and top size when applying, as a reference for hanbok sizing.

Event Guidelines

[Check-In Reminders]

  • This is a self-guided program after hanbok dressing; guided tours are not included.

  • This program is open to participants aged 18 and older.

  • The program operates in teams of two. One men’s hanbok and one women’s hanbok will be provided per team. (For example, if two women participate, one must wear the men’s hanbok.)

  • There is no parking at Changgyeonggung Palace. Please use public transportation.

  • The organizers are not responsible for accidents or loss of personal belongings due to individual negligence.


[Program Participation & Viewing Guidelines]

  • All areas within the palace are non-smoking.

  • As this is a protected cultural heritage site, food, flammable items, and recreational equipment are not allowed.

  • Media and broadcast coverage may take place during the event. Photography or filming may occur without prior notice.

  • Photos and videos taken during the event may be used for official promotional materials, publications, or research related to the K-Royal Culture Festival.


[Rain Policy]

  • If rain is forecast by 20:00 of the day before the event, the program may be canceled for safety and convenience.

  •  Any changes or announcements regarding weather conditions will be notified via text message first. Please check the contact information in your Ticketlink account before making a reservation. The event organizers and ticketing platform are not responsible for any issues caused by incorrect information provided during the reservation.
