Visitor Passport Application Guide
1 Passport Applications
  • Visitor passport applications are restricted to one per individual.
    Note: For families with the same address, one representative can apply for up to four Visitor Passports.
    • * Available for spouses and Lineal relatives only.
    • * Family members should avoid submitting identical applications. (If multiple applications are found, all related applications will be canceled.)
  • Mobile phone authentication is used to verify the applicant's identity.
    • * Foreign tourists unable to verify their identity online should visit the Korean Heritage Visitor Center to verify with a valid passport issued by their home country and receive the Visitor Passport in person.
  • Applicants can select their preferred method for receiving their Visitor Passport: either offline (in person) or online (via delivery). However, Visitor Passports cannot be delivered to tourist accommodations such as hotels or guesthouses.
    * Offline Pick-up Location <Korean Heritage Visitor Center>
    1. Incheon International Airport Korean Heritage Visitor Center (B1, Terminal 1 Transportation Center)
    2. Seoul Korean Heritage Visitor Center (1F café in the National Palace Museum of Korea)
    - On-site pickup at Korean Heritage Visitor Centers is available starting the day after the application date.
       Please check your pickup schedule prior to visiting the Visitor Center.
  • The applicant's name will not be printed on the Visitor Passport.
2 Senior Call Center (Support for the Digitally Vulnerable)
  • Individuals over 65 (born in 1960 or earlier) who find online applications challenging can use the "Senior Call Center" to apply by phone.

    Requested passports can be received through one of the following options:
    • 1. In-person pickup at the Visit Korean Heritage Campaign Visitor Center
    • 2. Courier delivery (requested via the Senior Call Center)
  • Applicants using the Senior Call Center will undergo an ID verification to confirm their eligibility. IDs are solely used for verification during passport applications, and all ID information will be promptly discarded once the application process is complete.
  • Applications through the Senior Call Center can be submitted at any time, not just on the Passport Distribution Date.
[Application Process]
  1. ① Call the Visit Korean Heritage Campaign call center at 1670-8904.
  2. ② Ask to be connected to the Senior Call Center.
  3. ③ Check the Visitor Passport Applicant Information, including Date of Birth, Name, Contact, and Address.
  4. ④ Display your ID (such as Resident Registration Card, Driver's License, Passport, or Certificate of Resident Registration) to verify eligibility.
  5. ⑤ After confirming eligibility, continue the application process with a support agent.
  6. ⑥ Once the application is complete, the shipment process for the Visitor Passport will begin within 3-4 weeks, or the applicant can collect it in person at the Korean Heritage Visitor Center.

Services at the Senior Call Center start on Monday, February 10, 2025.
